Development of the Danube Region is one of the priorities of the regional authorities of Odesa Oblast!
It is gratifying that on the first working Sunday, the Governor of Odesa Oblast, Serhiy Hrynevetskyi, and members of the Verkhovna Rada elected from Ukrainian Bessarabia paid attention to the problems of the Danube Region and held a working meeting in Kiliya with the heads of local communities and members of local councils.
During the meeting, they discussed painful issues and problems of the region and informed about the state of affairs.
Serhiy Hrynevetskyi spoke about the plans of the Regional Administration in the context of the implementation of the state policy on decentralisation and the prospects for the development of the region.
Liliana Ivanova, Director of the Association, informed about the possibilities of using financial instruments under the EU Strategy for the Danube Region for the development of newly formed communities.
We thank the initiators of this meeting and the team of the Kilis community for their hospitality. We hope that such meetings will be regular, as the dialogue between the executive and local governments is an opportunity to consolidate efforts to work more effectively to improve the quality of life in the Danube Region.
