The Association of Ukraine Regions “EU Strategy for the Danube Region” has been a catalyst for change in the Danube regions of Ukraine since 2015, bringing together the efforts of local communities, international partners, and European institutions. We initiate and implement various activities, ranging from organizing international forums and conferences to preparing analytical materials in collaboration with European experts.
Our activities include Ukraine’s participation in exhibitions, roundtables, and seminars, where we showcase the region’s potential and strengthen its position on the European stage. At the same time, we implement numerous projects aimed at cultural development, environmental protection, infrastructure modernization, and stimulating economic growth.

Environmental and Infrastructure Initiatives: Protecting Nature and Modernizing the Region
We strive to preserve the unique ecosystem of the Danube while simultaneously modernizing infrastructure to enhance the quality of life and ensure sustainable regional development. Our efforts focus on combating pollution, creating safe conditions for communities, and improving medical and transportation systems. As part of these initiatives, we have implemented several projects:
Cross-border Project “Inventory, Assessment, and Reduction of Anthropogenic Pollution Sources in the Lower Danube Region” (2017)

Key Achievements and Future Prospects
Since its establishment in 2015, the Association “EU Strategy for the Danube Region” has evolved from a local initiative to a recognized partner in implementing the European Danube Strategy. Our projects have improved infrastructure, preserved the Danube ecosystem, and strengthened the cultural and tourism potential of Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Chernivtsi regions. During wartime, we also became a crucial support network for thousands of people.
Looking ahead, we envision ourselves as a leading coordinator of sustainable development in Ukraine’s Danube territories and a key European partner. Our mission is to integrate Ukraine into Europe through innovative projects, preserve the Danube’s unique heritage, and create prosperity for future generations.
The Association “EU Strategy for the Danube Region” serves as a bridge between local needs and global opportunities, fostering harmony between ecology, culture, and progress.
