In 2020, the Association “EU Strategy for the Danube Region” signed a cooperation and support agreement with the Romania-Ukraine Joint Operational Program 2014-2020, establishing the Odesa Branch Office to improve communication between beneficiaries, stakeholders interested in the development of Odesa region, and the structures of the Program. This project aims to achieve the goals of the “European Strategy” through joint efforts to address the problems of the border area.
The Association and, accordingly, the Odesa Branch Office consist of several dozen experts and enthusiasts who strive to develop the Danube regions of Ukraine. To achieve this goal, the Association implements, develops, coordinates, and executes projects covering all aspects of the economic, social, and environmental state of specific regions of Ukraine; participates in international and national roundtables and forums; cooperates with private enterprises and charitable organizations; and publishes printed materials authored and edited by recognized scholars with broad professional interests.
All events organized or joined by the Association provide Ukraine with the opportunity to join international promising developments, develop small and medium-sized businesses, and remain engaged in innovative advancements in the European space. Currently, several projects have already been implemented within the Danube Strategy in the areas of navigation, ecology, and local business development, with more than fifty projects in development and gradual implementation.
