The Director of the Centre, Igor Usatyuk, participated in an online consultation on the territorial analysis and policy, specific objectives related to obtaining support for the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021-2027.
A draft territorial analysis has been developed for the relevant area of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027 and stakeholder expectations are currently being explored to support the first step towards the thematic concentration of the programme strategy.
The consultation process includes an online survey to provide information on the policy, Interreg and specific objectives considered important to gain support.
The event was attended by representatives of the national working groups in Ukraine, with the support of the ITA Coordination Directorate under the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the managing body of the TENEX Programme and Project.
Based on the results of the discussion, the most priority areas were identified as follows:
1. promoting access to sustainable water management;
2. promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches
3. strengthening the protection and conservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution.
