The EU Strategy for the Danube Region TRIO strongly condemns the unprovoked, illegal and unjust military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The military actions violate international law and agreements, undermining European and global security and stability. Above all, these actions are causing loss of life and suffering to the people of Ukraine.
EUSDR stands for freedom, peace and cooperation to improve the lives of people in the Danube Region. Ukraine is a sovereign state and an equal partner among the 14 EUSDR member states along the Danube, from the Black Forest to the Black Sea.
The EUSDR Trio President expresses its solidarity with the people of Ukraine and calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a diplomatic solution. The loss of life and destruction of the regions must stop immediately.

The Vice Prime Minister is calling for donations for humanitarian aid to Ukrainian citizens and the military. In the letter, Vice Prime Minister Olga Stefanyshyna calls for support, including a list of items that can be purchased with incoming donations, including things such as drinking water, hygiene products, hospital beds, etc.
