The Kick-off Conference of the Danube Delta Integrated Emergency Preparedness System project under the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 was held in Reni with the financial support of the European Union.
Given the COVID-19 restrictions, the conference was hybrid, meaning that those who wished to attend could do so in person or connect online.
The main goal of the project is to improve emergency preparedness in the Danube Delta border area of Ukraine and Romania, namely to improve the functioning of the warning system, which will help protect the territories in the floodplains of the Danube River.
The conference addressed current trends in warning systems, key characteristics and aspects to be considered when developing them.
